The FC Wursthausen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dennis Prinz got free with Lev Kuhr in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute Markus Hofmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lev Kuhr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ullrich Schmid didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karl Krumpen went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 31st minute Karl Krumpen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ullrich Schmid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lev Kuhr made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dennis Prinz in the 35th minute. Volker Sager took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ullrich Schmid. FC Wursthausen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 1 FC Kaiserslautern's Lev Kuhr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Markus Hofmann in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Markus Hofmann made a kick off. After a rather tough play, 1 FC Kaiserslautern's Joseph Petsch got a free kick in the 59th minute. Lev Kuhr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rainald Baumeister in the 61st minute of play. Lev Kuhr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Markus Hofmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute.
