Conweiler's Herbert Sturz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Jarowoy in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Jens Burmeister notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Conweiler's Herbert Sturz. Herbert Sturz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With his leg Boris Kohn managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Conweiler's Timo Jung fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Wolf Frieden fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Conweiler's protests and gave Wolf Frieden a yellow card for diving instead. Wolf Frieden hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Boris Kohn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otis Franz, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The audience was convinced that Felix Jarowoy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herbert Sturz was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Danko Bregenzer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herbert Sturz having to interfere. In the 52nd minute Timo Jung shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boris Kohn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FSV Fortuna Fresh's Adrian Schwunk got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Hans-Jürgen Stern had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by August Plagge in the 75th minute of play forced Conweiler's goalkeeper Herbert Sturz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hans-Jürgen Stern fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herbert Sturz having to interfere. FSV Fortuna Fresh's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
