Spectators: 6200 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Marc Blask took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ulrich Karp came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Borsum's Johann Schurwanz. But to his dismay, Johann Schurwanz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ulrich Karp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinhart Ruben in the 11th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Hülsenbusch's goal looked a bit too open when Johann Schurwanz came free, but Ulrich Karp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Sönke von Scheliha notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Hülsenbusch's Ulrich Karp. Ulrich Karp was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Hülsenbusch's Cees Jawurek got a free kick in the 20th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hülsenbusch's zone, Cornelius Weiers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulrich Karp came out of the goal and Cornelius Weiers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marc Blask's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mattis Chamisso firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johann Schurwanz in the 31st minute of play forced Hülsenbusch's goalkeeper Ulrich Karp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute of the match Cornelius Weiers sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ulrich Karp skillfully saved the ball. Ulrich Karp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinhart Ruben, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Ulrich Karp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johann Schurwanz in the 34th minute of the match. Reinhart Ruben recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the game, Borsum's Reinhart Ruben nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ulrich Karp made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After the first half Borsum were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Johann Schurwanz made a kick off. Ulrich Karp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cornelius Weiers in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marc Blask in the 54th minute of play forced Borsum's goalkeeper Mattis Chamisso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hülsenbusch's Ulrich Karp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Hülsenbusch from getting a goal against them. Reinhart Ruben could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Ulrich Karp made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reinhart Ruben got free with Ulrich Karp in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johann Schurwanz in the 81st minute of play forced Hülsenbusch's goalkeeper Ulrich Karp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rdth minute of the game Johann Schurwanz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hülsenbusch's Ulrich Karp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hülsenbusch's Ulrich Karp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sönke von Scheliha in the 86th minute of play. Ulrich Karp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johann Schurwanz in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Reinhart Ruben made a precise shot to the right of Ulrich Karp. Hülsenbusch's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Borsum's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
