The supporters of Geldern GSV booed when Bvb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Appenrodt didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bvb's Conni Filippek in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Geldern GSV's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Conni Filippek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gunter Krabbe was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Arthur Bock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Gunter Krabbe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Geldern GSV's Gunter Krabbe got control of the ball when Arthur Bock tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mathias Schaaf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arthur Bock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunter Krabbe having to interfere. Gunter Krabbe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conni Filippek in the 29th minute of the match. Conni Filippek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 32 played minutes Geldern GSV got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Schaaf. In the 33rd minute, Arthur Bock made a precise shot to the right of Gunter Krabbe. Geldern GSV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arthur Bock got free with Gunter Krabbe in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 37 minutes into the match, Mark Appenrodt dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gunter Krabbe, 2-0. After having played for 41 minutes, Conni Filippek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bvb's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conni Filippek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Conni Filippek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Geldern GSV's Gunter Krabbe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conni Filippek in the 57th minute of play. Conni Filippek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gunter Krabbe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arthur Bock in the 63rd minute of play. Gunter Krabbe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conni Filippek in the 64th minute of the match. Tobias Rittel's late challenge caught a Geldern GSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tobias Rittel helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Bvb's Tobias Rittel got a free kick in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Appenrodt in the 68th minute of play forced Geldern GSV's goalkeeper Gunter Krabbe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Arthur Bock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gunter Krabbe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conni Filippek in the 72nd minute of the match. Geldern GSV's Gunter Krabbe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthur Bock in the 76th minute of play. Conni Filippek scored 4-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gunter Krabbe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arthur Bock in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gunter Krabbe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Arthur Bock came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Bvb fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arthur Bock couldn't finish the play. Gunter Krabbe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur Bock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geldern GSV's Gunter Krabbe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conni Filippek in the 94th minute of play. Conni Filippek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geldern GSV's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
