The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maik Burzloff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnd Benken in the 4th minute of play. Olaf Patschinski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Tittmann having to interfere. Marcus Tittmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olaf Patschinski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maik Burzloff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnd Benken in the 10th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the game, Leon Vandenhirtz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Prien Am Chiemsee's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hundeort FSV the free kick. After a rather tough play, Prien Am Chiemsee's Leon Vandenhirtz got a free kick in the 12th minute. If Theo Baltermanns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christo Ost who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Maik Burzloff when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kajetan Kukowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Prien Am Chiemsee's Maik Burzloff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnd Benken in the 20th minute of play. Arnd Benken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maik Burzloff having to interfere. After 32 minutes, Paco Steinkamp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Prien Am Chiemsee and the Hundeort FSV players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Prien Am Chiemsee getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Paco Steinkamp hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Theo Baltermanns got free with Maik Burzloff in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maik Burzloff made an important save on a dangerous shot by Theo Baltermanns in the 44th minute. If Arnd Benken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olaf Patschinski in the 48th minute of play forced Hundeort FSV's goalkeeper Marcus Tittmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olaf Patschinski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Hundeort FSV's Arnd Benken in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Prien Am Chiemsee's goalie prevented a goal. 2-0 became the score in the 59th minute when Theo Baltermanns elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Theo Baltermanns left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hundeort FSV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. If Theo Baltermanns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Kajetan Kukowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Prien Am Chiemsee's Maik Burzloff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnd Benken in the 81st minute of play. After having played for 85 minutes, Theo Baltermanns managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hundeort FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Theo Baltermanns was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maik Burzloff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnd Benken in the 88th minute of play. Leon Vandenhirtz was shown his second yellow card after 88 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Prien Am Chiemsee getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Leon Vandenhirtz hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnd Benken in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maik Burzloff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Hundeort FSV had played much better football throughout.
