Gunter Gnant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jakov Otto having to interfere. Jakov Otto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marc Blask, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to VolleFrischeBreitseite getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Manfred Bartholome hit a great ball. The supporters of Hülsenbusch booed when VolleFrischeBreitseite was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredi Redda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulrich Karp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfred Bartholome in the 24th minute of play. VolleFrischeBreitseite's Jakov Otto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Blask in the 34th minute of play. Jakov Otto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marc Blask, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joachim Dahlinger kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Manfred Bartholome was shown his second yellow card after 40 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Manfred Bartholome hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Marc Blask recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gunter Gnant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joachim Dahlinger kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Marc Blask's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jakov Otto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Jakov Otto came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Hülsenbusch's Gunter Gnant. But to his dismay, Gunter Gnant quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Marc Blask fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jakov Otto having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Hülsenbusch's goal looked a bit too open when Dirk Hitzing came free, but Ulrich Karp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes into the game, Oswald Schnappauf was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hülsenbusch's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VolleFrischeBreitseite the free kick. A collision led to Hülsenbusch getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Oswald Schnappauf hit a great ball. Ulrich Karp stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joachim Dahlinger's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. After having played for 80 minutes, Marc Blask managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hülsenbusch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marc Blask was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Marc Blask notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of VolleFrischeBreitseite's Jakov Otto. Jakov Otto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fredi Redda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulrich Karp having to interfere. After 95 minutes, Joachim Dahlinger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VolleFrischeBreitseite and the Hülsenbusch players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Hülsenbusch booed when VolleFrischeBreitseite was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joachim Dahlinger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hülsenbusch's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
