After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Henning Rohn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Batschweiler FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Henning Rohn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ullrich Northe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Henning Rohn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fredy Kothe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ullrich Northe having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wolf Fuchtel to make the kick off. In the 83rd match minute, Fenerbahce Istanbul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Finn von Stetten to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the game, Henning Rohn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Fredy Kothe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ullrich Northe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Batschweiler FC played a much better game than Fenerbahce Istanbul and deserved their victory. The Fenerbahce Istanbul players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
