Johannes Herrndorf was a little too slow when Joachim Schleiermacher got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 3-0. Helmut Menzel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Voßhoff having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Paul Halfpape made a precise shot to the right of Saul Voßhoff.
