Nenad Sombrutzki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerard Dieckmann in the 20th minute. Nenad Sombrutzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wolf Fuchtel in the 21st minute of the match. Uwe Hübener's late challenge caught a Högenhausen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ullrich Northe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fenerbahce Istanbul's goalkeeper Ullrich Northe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kjeld Sondermann in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ullrich Northe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Arndt Spankowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arndt Spankowski kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Gerard Dieckmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Wolf Fuchtel made the kick off in the second half. If Gerard Dieckmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute Wolf Fuchtel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nenad Sombrutzki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arndt Spankowski took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ullrich Northe. Ullrich Northe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Ullrich Northe was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kjeld Sondermann showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 63 minute of play. Gordian Arslan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ullrich Northe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 71 played minutes Fenerbahce Istanbul got a freekick which was hit by Finn von Stetten. In the 72nd minute, Högenhausen's Benni Polenk ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ullrich Northe. Ullrich Northe yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. The audience was convinced that Arndt Spankowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ullrich Northe was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Benni Polenk who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Ullrich Northe when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nenad Sombrutzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerard Dieckmann in the 80th minute of play. Benni Polenk in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ullrich Northe, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Kjeld Sondermann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Arndt Spankowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 93 minutes, Kjeld Sondermann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Högenhausen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kjeld Sondermann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute, Benni Polenk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benni Polenk came free with the goalkeeper in the 97th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ullrich Northe could save by the left post. When the final whistle sounded Högenhausen left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fenerbahce Istanbul.
