Simeon Gust was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arnold Häberle showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. August Ballas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Simeon Gust tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wohlerst FC's August Ballas was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 18th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Rolf Potulski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klement Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Kimmich FC's Werner Szurmant to fire away a dangerous shot which Rolf Potulski despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 27 minutes in the game, August Ballas fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Simeon Gust having to interfere. A collision led to Wohlerst FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Pascal Zips hit a great ball. The supporters of Kimmich FC booed when Wohlerst FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascal Zips didn't get a good kick on the ball. August Ballas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnold Häberle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simeon Gust having to interfere. When August Ballas came up free with the goalie in the 49th minute, the Wohlerst FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that August Ballas couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Klement Hoffmann was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Wohlerst FC's goal looked a bit too open when Klement Hoffmann came free, but Rolf Potulski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Kimmich FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simeon Gust should have stopped the shot. Arnold Häberle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute.
