After a rather tough play, SV Sandhausen's Ted Hubert got a free kick in the 6th minute. Tim Konermann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joachim Deckert having to interfere. In the 13th minute Klement Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joachim Deckert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Kimmich FC's Tim Konermann in 21 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Joachim Deckert guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. SV Sandhausen's Sascha Kebeis got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute Klement Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joachim Deckert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sylvester Künast fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kimmich FC's protests and gave Sylvester Künast a yellow card for diving instead. Sylvester Künast kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Cord Krämer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simeon Gust having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Klement Hoffmann to strike the kick off in the second half. Simeon Gust took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cord Krämer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the match, SV Sandhausen's goal looked a bit too open when Tim Konermann came free, but Joachim Deckert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SV Sandhausen's Joachim Deckert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klement Hoffmann in the 61st minute of play. Cord Krämer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Simeon Gust tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sylvester Künast was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 69 minutes had been played. In the 72nd match minute, Kimmich FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurence Bion to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, SV Sandhausen's Eduard Strobl broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Tim Konermann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Joachim Deckert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Klement Hoffmann came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Kimmich FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Klement Hoffmann couldn't finish the play. 79 minutes into the match, SV Sandhausen's goal looked a bit too open when Tim Konermann came free, but Joachim Deckert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simeon Gust made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cord Krämer in the 87th minute of play. In the 91st minute of the match, Cord Krämer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Simeon Gust saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 93 minutes into the match, Kimmich FC's Tim Konermann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joachim Deckert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. SV Sandhausen's Sascha Kebeis got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kimmich FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
