The Kimmich FC fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Kimmich FC's Tim Konermann looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Klement Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claas Pesch having to interfere. Tim Konermann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Kimmich FC's Simeon Gust got control of the ball when Hugo Heinrich tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hugo Heinrich who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Simeon Gust when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Benjamin Michalk hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. When Hugo Heinrich came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Schachmatt Kickers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Heinrich couldn't finish the play. Simeon Gust was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mischa Pahl showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 45 minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mischa Pahl was the one to do the kick off. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Kimmich FC's Klement Hoffmann in the 52nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Claas Pesch was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Schachmatt Kickers through an amazing save. The supporters of Kimmich FC booed when Schachmatt Kickers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otto Brecher didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mischa Pahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Tim Konermann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Klement Hoffmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claas Pesch was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Claas Pesch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klement Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. A collision led to Kimmich FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Pascal Schwer hit a great ball. Ralf Odenthal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Simeon Gust. Kimmich FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mischa Pahl hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klement Hoffmann in the 78th minute of play forced Schachmatt Kickers's goalkeeper Claas Pesch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo Heinrich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Simeon Gust tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Kimmich FC's Tim Konermann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claas Pesch narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Hugo Heinrich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Heinrich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Simeon Gust tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
