Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Niklaus Schwarzfischer made the kick off which started today's match. In the 2nd minute, Rudolf Kau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Richard Kalvelage received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Dominik Effertz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Vicco Wesseler had to leave the field with a concussion. After 7 minutes, Burkhardt Ohme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Niederleuken and the Köchingen players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th match minute, Niederleuken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Burkhardt Ohme to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute, Fritz Burkart sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Niederleuken's Dominik Effertz didn't even have to move. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Niklaus Schwarzfischer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Köchingen's supporters rose to their feet, but Niklaus Schwarzfischer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dominik Effertz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Niklaus Schwarzfischer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Niederleuken's goalkeeper Dominik Effertz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Niederleuken's zone, Richard Kalvelage stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dominik Effertz came out of the goal and Richard Kalvelage tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Niederleuken getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Theo Balzer hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pavel Hein in the 40th minute of play forced Köchingen's goalkeeper Paul Amelung to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Niederleuken booed when Köchingen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Helmuth Seppmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Köchingen's Paul Amelung played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theo Balzer in the 42nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Köchingen's Günter Baumann got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Dominik Effertz made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Richard Kalvelage sent off a good shot on target. In the 48th minute Theo Balzer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Amelung saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Theo Balzer made a kick off. Dominik Effertz came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Köchingen's Helmuth Seppmann. But to his dismay, Helmuth Seppmann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Niederleuken's zone, Richard Kalvelage stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dominik Effertz came out of the goal and Richard Kalvelage tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Theo Balzer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paul Amelung having to make a save. If Richard Kalvelage had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dominik Effertz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Richard Kalvelage went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Dominik Effertz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niklaus Schwarzfischer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the match, Theo Balzer dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Paul Amelung, 2-1. In the 79th minute, Theo Balzer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Richard Kalvelage fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dominik Effertz having to interfere. If Richard Kalvelage had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niederleuken's Dominik Effertz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Kalvelage in the 89th minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Ralf Schlagbauer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Niederleuken's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Köchingen the free kick. Dominik Effertz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Kalvelage, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Köchingen's supporters rose to their feet, but Günter Baumann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dominik Effertz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Köchingen fully deserved thier win.
