Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Theo Balzer in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ehrhard Gehlhaar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 18 minutes, Pavel Hein managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Niederleuken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pavel Hein was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnd Schätzle in the 21st minute of play forced Niederleuken's goalkeeper Dominik Effertz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ehrhard Gehlhaar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theo Balzer, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Ehrhard Gehlhaar made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Pavel Hein sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnd Schätzle helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ballspiel-Verein Preußen getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Arnd Schätzle hit a great ball. A hard shot 46 in the game by Pavel Hein from a close distance when the talented Ehrhard Gehlhaar managed to make a qualified save. Ballspiel-Verein Preußen's players were relieved. Theo Balzer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ehrhard Gehlhaar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Theo Balzer made a kick off. Ehrhard Gehlhaar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theo Balzer in the 52nd minute of the match. The supporters of Niederleuken booed when Ballspiel-Verein Preußen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Reuscher didn't get a good kick on the ball. The tension between the Ballspiel-Verein Preußen and the Niederleuken players grew even worse after the yellow card. Theo Balzer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ehrhard Gehlhaar having to make a save. Pavel Hein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ballspiel-Verein Preußen's zone, Theo Balzer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ehrhard Gehlhaar came out of the goal and Theo Balzer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 67 played minutes Niederleuken got a freekick which was hit by Thoralf Brominski. Ferdinand Au's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dominik Effertz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. If Johann Bosold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Pavel Hein ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ehrhard Gehlhaar was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 85thth minute of the game Theo Balzer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ballspiel-Verein Preußen's Ehrhard Gehlhaar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pavel Hein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ehrhard Gehlhaar having to interfere. In the 89th minute Theo Balzer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ehrhard Gehlhaar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot by Tim Cassens from long distance, 94 minutes into the match, got Dominik Effertz's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Niederleuken fully deserved thier win.
