Spectators: 7269 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Klement Hoffmann started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Markus Paul Hillekes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SV Sötenich's supporters rose to their feet, but Markus Paul Hillekes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simeon Gust breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 4 minutes, Egon Kampeter made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Kimmich FC's Simeon Gust tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 7 minutes into the match, Kimmich FC's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Günther came free, but Simeon Gust reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Matias Günther hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kimmich FC's Werner Szurmant couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 13th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SV Sötenich. SV Sötenich's Markus Paul Hillekes got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute of the match, Klement Hoffmann tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kristian Biewald saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Dag Klöser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simeon Gust having to interfere. Kimmich FC's Laurence Bion got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SV Sötenich's Kristian Biewald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klement Hoffmann in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Dieter Kramme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tizian Juncker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 34 minutes into the game, SV Sötenich's Egon Kampeter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Simeon Gust made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Markus Paul Hillekes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simeon Gust having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Dag Klöser made a precise shot to the right of Simeon Gust. Kimmich FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4.

If Egon Kampeter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simeon Gust stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Egon Kampeter's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dag Klöser got free with Simeon Gust in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute Tim Konermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristian Biewald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Markus Paul Hillekes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 78 minutes, Dag Klöser managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SV Sötenich's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dag Klöser was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Markus Paul Hillekes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tizian Juncker in the 83rd minute of play forced Kimmich FC's goalkeeper Simeon Gust to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Markus Paul Hillekes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Simeon Gust tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Markus Paul Hillekes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simeon Gust having to make a save. After 87 minutes, Boris Breuer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SV Sötenich and the Kimmich FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SV Sötenich's Boris Breuer got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 92nd minute, Markus Paul Hillekes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Kimmich FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SV Sötenich were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
