The supporters of Schachmatt Kickers booed when Werdohl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Myszka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christian Papies took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paulo Lotter. Werdohl's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Claas Pesch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucien Wächter in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Schachmatt Kickers's Jörg Lüthje got a free kick in the 20th minute. Werdohl's Lucien Wächter got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claas Pesch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernan Della in the 25th minute of the match. Hernan Della received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Claas Pesch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hernan Della might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claas Pesch. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hernan Della ran back to his position shaking his head. 38 minutes into the match, Werdohl's Lucien Wächter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claas Pesch narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hernan Della struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Claas Pesch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Werdohl. Werdohl's Marc Myszka quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Benjamin Schub, made in the 41st minute of the game. In the 44th minute of the match Jiri Kähler shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claas Pesch showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After 52 minutes, Hernan Della made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Schachmatt Kickers's Claas Pesch tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Hernan Della sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Schachmatt Kickers's zone, Barry Bartels stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claas Pesch came out of the goal and Barry Bartels tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hernan Della sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Heinrich was extremely unlucky when he, in the 64th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 66 minutes, Mischa Pahl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Schachmatt Kickers and the Werdohl players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Werdohl booed when Schachmatt Kickers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mischa Pahl didn't get a good kick on the ball. Werdohl's Hernan Della got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Lucien Wächter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Werdohl fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Schachmatt Kickers's Claas Pesch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernan Della in the 76th minute of play. Lucien Wächter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Werdohl booed when Schachmatt Kickers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörg Lüthje didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mischa Pahl in the 81st minute of play forced Werdohl's goalkeeper Paulo Lotter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hernan Della took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claas Pesch. Claas Pesch dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Hugo Heinrich charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hugo Heinrich the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 91 minutes into the match, Werdohl's goal looked a bit too open when Mischa Pahl came free, but Paulo Lotter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
