Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 40) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hernan Della kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Werdohl getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Niels Bebel hit a great ball. After 6 played minutes SV Sötenich got a freekick which was hit by Tizian Juncker. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Lucien Wächter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Werdohl's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucien Wächter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kristian Biewald breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tizian Juncker's late challenge caught a Werdohl's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tizian Juncker helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Werdohl booed when SV Sötenich was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tizian Juncker didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Hernan Della left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Werdohl fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Egon Kampeter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SV Sötenich's Egon Kampeter got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Markus Paul Hillekes's late challenge caught a Werdohl's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kristian Biewald took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Della, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 44th play minutes Hernan Della shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Kristian Biewald and just under the crossbar into goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Egon Kampeter made a kick off. After 57 minutes, Rocco Gieseke mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SV Sötenich and the Werdohl players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Hernan Della managed to get in a good position for a shot. Werdohl's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernan Della was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. A beautiful save bye SV Sötenich's goalie prevented a goal. Dag Klöser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Paulo Lotter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Lotter made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Egon Kampeter sent off a good shot on target. Egon Kampeter might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo Lotter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Egon Kampeter ran back to his position shaking his head. Hernan Della sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Werdohl's Hernan Della got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Werdohl players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
