Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Niklaus Schwarzfischer started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With his leg Paulo Lotter managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Köchingen's Richard Kalvelage fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Hernan Della's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paul Amelung read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Werdohl's Paulo Lotter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niklaus Schwarzfischer in the 24th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Hernan Della managed to get in a good position for a shot. Werdohl's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernan Della was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paul Amelung breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Richard Kalvelage hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Hernan Della fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Amelung having to interfere. Paul Amelung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernan Della in the 39th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Köchingen's Vicco Wesseler got a free kick in the 40th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Köchingen's goal looked a bit too open when Egon Gaffga came free, but Paul Amelung reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, Köchingen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicco Wesseler to maneuver through the defense. Paul Amelung stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hernan Della's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. After the first half Werdohl were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A collision led to Werdohl getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Lovis Diekelmann hit a great ball. In the 58th minute of the match Fritz Burkart shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulo Lotter showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hernan Della fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Amelung having to interfere. After having played for 64 minutes, Richard Kalvelage managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Köchingen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richard Kalvelage was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Hernan Della had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Richard Kalvelage in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Lotter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hernan Della who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Paul Amelung when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Paulo Lotter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Richard Kalvelage went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hernan Della in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paul Amelung prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hernan Della took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paul Amelung. Paul Amelung dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Despite being the better team, Werdohl failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
