This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Philipp Scheller as he didn't even see the shot coming. AAlen's Werner Krey got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 46 minutes into the match, Schönningstedt's goal looked a bit too open when Werner Krey came free, but Tim Happach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Werner Krey to strike the kick off in the second half. AAlen's Christian Beckmeyer got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ludger Hasselbach in the 54th minute of play forced Schönningstedt's goalkeeper Tim Happach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Beckmeyer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adonis Barkhausen hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute, Schönningstedt's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ludger Hasselbach fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A hard shot 61 in the game by Christian Beckmeyer from a close distance when the talented Tim Happach managed to make a qualified save. Schönningstedt's players were relieved. The supporters of AAlen booed when Schönningstedt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position.
