Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Olaf Elmer started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Hendrik Mutke ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manfred Mezger was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Olaf Elmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Schmiedefeld Am Rennsteig's Manfred Mezger got control of the ball when Hendrik Mutke tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Hendrik Mutke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Olaf Elmer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trögen FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Olaf Elmer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manfred Mezger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 18 minutes into the game, Karl Martin Nobs cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Uwe Scheil was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 32 minutes, Hendrik Mutke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trögen FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hendrik Mutke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Harald Ahlers charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harald Ahlers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Schmiedefeld Am Rennsteig booed when Trögen FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harald Ahlers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Schmiedefeld Am Rennsteig's Louis Berland couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 38th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Trögen FSV. Karl Martin Nobs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uwe Scheil having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Trögen FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ansbert Bade to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascal Härle in the 41st minute of play forced Trögen FSV's goalkeeper Uwe Scheil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd match minute, Trögen FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ole Enders to maneuver through the defense. Schmiedefeld Am Rennsteig's Karl Martin Nobs got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pascal Härle struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Uwe Scheil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Schmiedefeld Am Rennsteig. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl Martin Nobs to strike the kick off in the second half. Hendrik Mutke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Clemens Jahn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trögen FSV were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Schmiedefeld Am Rennsteig's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hristo Schlein took the corner. In the 71st minute, Hendrik Mutke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karl Martin Nobs received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Uwe Scheil came out and tried to block the shot, but Karl Martin Nobs slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 73rd minute. Hendrik Mutke struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Manfred Mezger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trögen FSV. Hendrik Mutke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfred Mezger having to interfere. Pascal Härle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Trögen FSV's Ole Enders got a free kick in the 86th minute. 87 minutes into the match Pascal Härle climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-5 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Uwe Scheil. After 90 minutes of play Trögen FSV's Ole Enders was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Ole Enders kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The Schmiedefeld Am Rennsteig players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
