When Schmiedefeld Am Rennsteig's Pascal Härle in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barneckermoor FC's goalie prevented a goal. Karl Martin Nobs's late challenge caught a Barneckermoor FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karl Martin Nobs helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Schmiedefeld Am Rennsteig getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Karl Martin Nobs hit a great ball. The supporters of Schmiedefeld Am Rennsteig booed when Barneckermoor FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl Martin Nobs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ennio Hofner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Harold Harnack hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the game, Justin Myszka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barneckermoor FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Schmiedefeld Am Rennsteig the free kick. Justin Myszka hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Christoph Möst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfred Mezger having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Barneckermoor FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pascal Härle came free, but Ennio Hofner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Schmiedefeld Am Rennsteig's goalkeeper Manfred Mezger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christoph Möst.

The wind increased when Christoph Möst made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Kaspar Grevenbrock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Louis Berland in the 57th minute really tested Ennio Hofner's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of Schmiedefeld Am Rennsteig booed when Barneckermoor FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. A hard shot by Louis Berland from long distance, 63 minutes into the match, got Ennio Hofner's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Manfred Mezger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christoph Möst, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Martin Nobs in the 67th minute of play forced Barneckermoor FC's goalkeeper Ennio Hofner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl Martin Nobs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ennio Hofner having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, Joseph Höppner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After 75 played minutes Schmiedefeld Am Rennsteig got a freekick which was hit by Joseph Höppner. It was beautiful to see Barneckermoor FC's Justin Myszka in action when he in the 76th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! When Pascal Härle came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Schmiedefeld Am Rennsteig fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pascal Härle couldn't finish the play. In the 85th minute, Pascal Härle reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ennio Hofner. The goal made the score 0-2. 91 minutes into the game, Karl Martin Nobs recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ennio Hofner. Karl Martin Nobs showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. The Barneckermoor FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Schmiedefeld Am Rennsteig's performance. The match ended with a win for Schmiedefeld Am Rennsteig.
