In the 8th minute Wolf Senkel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Kaack saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manfred Deipenbrock scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Kaack, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jan Kaack took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wolf Senkel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Kaack made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Manfred Deipenbrock sent off a good shot on target. Rainer Kain hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 24thth minute of the game Wolf Senkel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nankatsu's Jan Kaack was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Manfred Deipenbrock in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jan Kaack, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Wolf Senkel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jan Kaack tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kai Rathje during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Nankatsu getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Kai Rathje hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wolf Senkel in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan Kaack prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Varste's Ferdinand Innerwinkler got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manfred Deipenbrock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Jan Kaack tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan Kaack was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Wolf Senkel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wolf Senkel really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wolf Senkel was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, Friedrich Schreier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Manfred Deipenbrock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, FC Varste's Emanuel Lindenthal got control of the ball when Steffen Rossmanith tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manfred Deipenbrock might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan Kaack. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manfred Deipenbrock ran back to his position shaking his head. Jan Kaack showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wolf Senkel, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 91stth minute of the game Wolf Senkel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nankatsu's Jan Kaack was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 96 minutes into the match, FC Varste's Roman Glenski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan Kaack narrowly saved just below the crossbar. There was no doubt that FC Varste were the better team. FC Varste's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
