Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Borussia Bergheim's Alex Knefler started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Manfred Deipenbrock ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Moritz Hattermann was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a rather tough play, FC Varste's Manfred Deipenbrock got a free kick in the 8th minute. Ludolf Klukas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manfred Deipenbrocks short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Moritz Hattermann to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Borussia Bergheim's Moritz Hattermann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Borussia Bergheim from getting a goal against them. Moritz Hattermann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wolf Senkel, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Alex Knefler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Emanuel Lindenthal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Alex Knefler notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC Varste's Emanuel Lindenthal. Emanuel Lindenthal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FC Varste's Emanuel Lindenthal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Knefler in the 30th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Alex Knefler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emanuel Lindenthal was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 41 minutes into the game, Hartwig Bockholt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borussia Bergheim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Varste the free kick. The supporters of FC Varste booed when Borussia Bergheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hartwig Bockholt didn't get a good kick on the ball.

In the 56th minute, Ludolf Klukas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute, Wolf Senkel made a precise shot to the right of Moritz Hattermann. Borussia Bergheim's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Manfred Deipenbrock blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Moritz Hattermann having to make a save. After a rather tough play, FC Varste's Thomas Kipping got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Benedikt Klaeden kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd match minute, FC Varste was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinand Innerwinkler to maneuver through the defense. Borussia Bergheim's Peter Brünemann couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Varste. Emanuel Lindenthal was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Alex Knefler capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alex Knefler really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Ferdinand Innerwinkler managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Varste's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferdinand Innerwinkler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moritz Hattermann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th match minute, Borussia Bergheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xaver Bareiß to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Benjamin Börnert managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Varste's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Börnert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moritz Hattermann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Borussia Bergheim walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
