After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Berthold Wieck managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1 FC LUPUS's supporters rose to their feet, but Berthold Wieck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arend Blecke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arend Blecke made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Berthold Wieck sent off a good shot on target. 15 minutes into the game, Dennis Kastner recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arend Blecke. Dennis Kastner showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A collision led to 1 FC LUPUS getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Dietrich Schulten hit a great ball. When Pit Faller came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Gandersum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pit Faller couldn't finish the play. Arend Blecke stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dennis Kastner's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Patrick Spanehl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pit Faller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wanja Thurow in the 29th minute of play forced 1 FC LUPUS's goalkeeper Patrick Spanehl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to 1 FC LUPUS getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Hans-Jürgen Fink hit a great ball. Arend Blecke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Kastner in the 35th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Pit Faller ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Patrick Spanehl was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 44 minutes of play, 1 FC LUPUS's Berthold Wieck made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arend Blecke was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pit Faller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wanja Thurow was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Wanja Thurow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Spanehl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wanja Thurow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Patrick Spanehl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dennis Kastner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arend Blecke having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Dennis Kastner managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1 FC LUPUS's supporters rose to their feet, but Dennis Kastner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrick Spanehl was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wanja Thurow showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 80 minute of play. In the 85th minute, Berthold Wieck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dennis Kastner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arend Blecke having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Dennis Kastner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 1 FC LUPUS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Wanja Thurow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. 1 FC LUPUS had won after a very even match.
