When Jakob Jansch came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Harbarnsen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jakob Jansch couldn't finish the play. After 14 played minutes Harbarnsen FC got a freekick which was hit by Georg Grasedieck. Leopold Schubert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Leopold Schubert left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Maras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Erich Heinrici fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Plein having to interfere. The supporters of Harbarnsen FC booed when FC Maras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josef Brill didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Forbrig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Maras's Leopold Schubert got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Erich Heinrici made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Jakob Jansch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Harbarnsen FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jakob Jansch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael Plein came out and tried to block the shot, but Erich Heinrici slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 96th minute.
