Emanuel Lindenthal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wanja Thurow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Manfred Deipenbrock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pit Faller got free with Emanuel Lindenthal in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfred Deipenbrock in the 22nd minute of play forced Gandersum's goalkeeper Arend Blecke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute Manfred Deipenbrock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arend Blecke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arend Blecke didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manfred Deipenbrock went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Emanuel Lindenthal made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Pit Faller sent off a good shot on target. Martin Popper kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Wanja Thurow struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Emanuel Lindenthal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gandersum. Pit Faller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Gandersum players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Varste were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wolf Senkel to strike the kick off in the second half. 0-3 became the score in the 59th minute when Manfred Deipenbrock elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Manfred Deipenbrock succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 62nd playminute. After 65 played minutes Gandersum got a freekick which was hit by Jeff Kellermann. 70 minutes into the match, Gandersum's goal looked a bit too open when Wolf Senkel came free, but Arend Blecke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel Lindenthal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pit Faller, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Emanuel Lindenthal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wanja Thurow, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After a rather tough play, FC Varste's Ferdinand Innerwinkler got a free kick in the 89th minute. FC Varste's Emanuel Lindenthal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wanja Thurow in the 90th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Wolf Senkel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arend Blecke, 0-5. After 95 played minutes, Gandersum's Toni Quabeck shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emanuel Lindenthal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gandersum reached it. 96 minutes into the match, FC Varste's goal looked a bit too open when Wanja Thurow came free, but Emanuel Lindenthal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Varste had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
