Bruno Gapp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Nacke in the 14th minute of the match. A collision led to SV Blumen Osterfeld getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Björn Gondro hit a great ball. In the 17th minute, Arminius Schiewerling left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Schwaben fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The supporters of SV Blumen Osterfeld booed when FC Schwaben was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Knut Schnabel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the game, SV Blumen Osterfeld's Arno Melzer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Theodor Rehm made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. SV Blumen Osterfeld's Bruno Gapp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Nacke in the 28th minute of play. Bruno Gapp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eberhard Moll, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Thomas Nacke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Gapp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Knut Schnabel's late challenge caught a SV Blumen Osterfeld's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Knut Schnabel helped the player get up and apologised. Bruno Gapp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Knut Schnabel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes in the game, Eberhard Moll fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bruno Gapp having to interfere. Bruno Gapp was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Eberhard Moll capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eberhard Moll really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. A sloppy throw-in by Reinhold Riediger in the 86th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SV Blumen Osterfeld's Ralph Grübel. In the 87th minute, Arno Melzer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute of the match Reno Ost sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bruno Gapp skillfully saved the ball. Bruno Gapp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Knut Schnabel, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Knut Schnabel in the 91st minute of play forced SV Blumen Osterfeld's goalkeeper Bruno Gapp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Thomas Nacke left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
