After a rather tough play, Obersgegen's Norbert Wöhrle got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Obersgegen's Jens Das got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jens Das sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Max Wagefeld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the game, Gerrit Reichel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Obersgegen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 1.CFR Pforzheim the free kick. In the 30th minute, Gerrit Reichel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonid Sanders made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Carsten Thomale sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, 1.CFR Pforzheim's Andrej Frommermann got a free kick in the 35th minute. After having played for 36 minutes, Jens Das managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Obersgegen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens Das was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elard Köhn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donald Treiber in the 38th minute of play. After 43 minutes, Armando Bähr mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 1.CFR Pforzheim and the Obersgegen players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Donald Treiber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Max Wagefeld made the kick off in the second half. Jens Das received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Elard Köhn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Max Wagefeld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 65th minute of the match Armando Bähr completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Armando Bähr a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 66th match minute, 1.CFR Pforzheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Bähr to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, Jens Das made a precise shot to the right of Elard Köhn. 1.CFR Pforzheim's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Leonid Sanders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carsten Thomale, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Max Wagefeld during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Max Wagefeld kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carsten Thomale in the 77th minute of play forced Obersgegen's goalkeeper Leonid Sanders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 79 minutes of play 1.CFR Pforzheim's Max Wagefeld was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 81st minute, Ronald Krause hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jens Das struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Elard Köhn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Obersgegen. Jens Das sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Obersgegen's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
