Samuel Bangas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Jorn Lange fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Bangas having to interfere. Eicke Nowak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Samuel Bangas having to make a save. Derk Ehlert struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Samuel Bangas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Orfgen. Jockel Salewski hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. A collision led to Orfgen getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Kristian Kirsch hit a great ball. Jorn Lange scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Samuel Bangas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 37thth minute of the game Eicke Nowak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VfB Lübeck 93's Samuel Bangas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Herbie Grünewald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 43 minutes, Kristian Kirsch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orfgen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristian Kirsch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herbie Grünewald got free with Cedric Knorra in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 47 minutes, Herbie Grünewald managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VfB Lübeck 93's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herbie Grünewald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eicke Nowak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eicke Nowak who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Samuel Bangas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Eicke Nowak sped through VfB Lübeck 93's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Samuel Bangas. If Eicke Nowak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kristian Kirsch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Orfgen's Kristian Kirsch got a free kick in the 95th minute. The VfB Lübeck 93 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Orfgen were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
