In the 3rd minute Johann Wester shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Birger Goll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute, Jacob Langhammer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stephan Bürklen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liam Czerwinsky in the 11th minute of the match. After 16 minutes, Jacob Langhammer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thiermann and the Blau–Weiß Pinneberg 05 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jacob Langhammer hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Erich Wolf managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blau–Weiß Pinneberg 05's supporters rose to their feet, but Erich Wolf was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stephan Bürklen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Liam Czerwinsky's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Stephan Bürklen skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erich Wolf in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stephan Bürklen saved Thiermann from getting behind. Kasper Bohne charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kasper Bohne the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 42 played minutes Thiermann got a freekick which was hit by Kasper Bohne. Swen Wolber's late challenge caught a Blau–Weiß Pinneberg 05's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Swen Wolber helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Blau–Weiß Pinneberg 05 booed when Thiermann was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Swen Wolber didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of Blau–Weiß Pinneberg 05:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Thiermann:s goal. Birger Goll had in the 49thth minute some difficulties stopping Kasper Bohne's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 49 minutes of play, Thiermann's Kasper Bohne made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Liam Czerwinsky to strike the kick off in the second half. Thiermann's Johann Wester managed to work through Blau–Weiß Pinneberg 05's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Johann Wester dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Liam Czerwinsky struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Stephan Bürklen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blau–Weiß Pinneberg 05. Liam Czerwinsky received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Stephan Bürklen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Liam Czerwinsky recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Liam Czerwinsky fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephan Bürklen having to interfere. If Stanislaw Bügen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Palle Höfgen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th match minute, Thiermann was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kasper Bohne to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 81 minutes, Palle Höfgen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blau–Weiß Pinneberg 05's Birger Goll proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Blau–Weiß Pinneberg 05 from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Blau–Weiß Pinneberg 05 lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
