The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gunter Rössel made the kick off which started today's match. Birger Goll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donny Lienemann in the 3rd minute of the match. When Götz Hattermann fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VfV Hildesheim's protests and gave Götz Hattermann a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th minute, Götz Hattermann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Liam Czerwinsky who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Alexander Madl when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind VfV Hildesheim's goalkeeper Alexander Madl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sönke Holter's late challenge caught a VfV Hildesheim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sönke Holter helped the player get up and apologised. Sönke Holter hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. If Gunter Rössel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liam Czerwinsky kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the game, Palle Höfgen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alexander Madl. Palle Höfgen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Erich Wolf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Madl having to interfere. After a rather tough play, VfV Hildesheim's Ralf Riedel got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Liam Czerwinsky received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Alexander Madl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Palle Höfgen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Alexander Madl successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 36th minute, Blau–Weiß Pinneberg 05's Stanislaw Bügen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alexander Madl. Alexander Madl yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Alexander Madl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erich Wolf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Blau–Weiß Pinneberg 05's Birger Goll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gunter Rössel in the 41st minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erich Wolf to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes VfV Hildesheim got a freekick which was hit by Tassilo Betzer. In the 55th match minute, VfV Hildesheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Winfried Drewes to maneuver through the defense. Donny Lienemann succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 58th playminute. If Erich Wolf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A very good chance for a goal. 65 minutes into the match, Erich Wolf notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of VfV Hildesheim's Alexander Madl. Alexander Madl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 71 minutes, Palle Höfgen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Blau–Weiß Pinneberg 05 and the VfV Hildesheim players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Blau–Weiß Pinneberg 05 getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Palle Höfgen hit a great ball. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tassilo Betzer fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VfV Hildesheim's protests and gave Tassilo Betzer a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to VfV Hildesheim getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Tassilo Betzer hit a great ball. Stanislaw Bügen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Madl having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stanislaw Bügen in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexander Madl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Liam Czerwinsky in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexander Madl saved VfV Hildesheim from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tassilo Betzer got free with Birger Goll in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. VfV Hildesheim's Alexander Madl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanislaw Bügen in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Liam Czerwinsky had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexander Madl. VfV Hildesheim's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Liam Czerwinsky was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1.
