Spectators: 7456 (Terracing: 5593, Seating: 1714, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Marcel Kratz took the kick off in the first half of the match. Conny Zugowski was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 5 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute, Conny Zugowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 6th minute, Olaf Michael Gisart sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Becheln FSV's Hein Dieler didn't even have to move. Hein Dieler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Munz in the 8th minute of play. With a little luck, Becheln FSV's Hein Dieler got control of the ball when Paul Wieberneit tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermann Deuss in the 11th minute of play forced TuS Bremen's goalkeeper Matti Hennig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Becheln FSV's Hermann Deuss sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matti Hennig narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 14 minutes into the game, Marcel Kratz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TuS Bremen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Becheln FSV the free kick. A collision led to TuS Bremen getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Marc Bonhöfer hit a great ball. After having played for 20 minutes, Sascha Alt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Becheln FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sascha Alt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sascha Alt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sascha Alt scored 1-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matti Hennig, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Bernhard Wiskandt fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Becheln FSV's protests and gave Bernhard Wiskandt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th minute, Bernhard Wiskandt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. TuS Bremen's Matti Hennig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sascha Alt in the 37th minute of play. If Sascha Alt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Matti Hennig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermann Deuss, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sascha Alt to strike the kick off in the second half. Sascha Alt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Matti Hennig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hein Dieler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Wieberneit, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind TuS Bremen's goalkeeper Matti Hennig, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sascha Alt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matti Hennig having to interfere. Erwin Heyde might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matti Hennig. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erwin Heyde ran back to his position shaking his head. Matti Hennig stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sascha Alt's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 67th minute Paul Wieberneit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hein Dieler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute Jason Ohm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hein Dieler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sascha Alt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74thth minute of the game Sascha Alt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TuS Bremen's Matti Hennig was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sascha Alt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matti Hennig read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Hein Dieler came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by TuS Bremen's Paul Wieberneit. But to his dismay, Paul Wieberneit quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. TuS Bremen were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
