After 16 minutes, Konrad Nagel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Abseits Riesa and the Nowosibirsk players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes FC Abseits Riesa got a freekick which was hit by Konrad Nagel. Rene Terwiel made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Gisbert Wesseling sent off a good shot on target. Fritz Borowski charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fritz Borowski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Roland Thumerer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenz Schnackenberg in the 20th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lorenz Schnackenberg in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roland Thumerer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arlo Mostofizadeh hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Lorenz Schnackenberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Roland Thumerer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Lorenz Schnackenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Abseits Riesa's supporters rose to their feet, but Lorenz Schnackenberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roland Thumerer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roland Thumerer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenz Schnackenberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Benedikt Hinz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Terwiel having to interfere. Roland Thumerer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lorenz Schnackenberg's shot from short distance in the 45th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benedikt Hinz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benedikt Hinz in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. Gisbert Wesseling's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rene Terwiel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Rene Terwiel was left in no man's land by his defense there! 68 minutes into the game, Velten Morawitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Abseits Riesa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nowosibirsk the free kick. Velten Morawitz kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Nowosibirsk's goalkeeper Roland Thumerer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erich Theißen. Malik Perrey kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Nowosibirsk's zone, Erich Theißen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roland Thumerer came out of the goal and Erich Theißen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Velten Morawitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Thumerer having to interfere. Siegmund Rehnen took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roland Thumerer. Roland Thumerer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Nowosibirsk's Roland Thumerer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erich Theißen in the 85th minute of play. Velten Morawitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Thumerer having to interfere. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Nowosibirsk's goalkeeper Roland Thumerer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 94 minutes into the game, Velten Morawitz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Roland Thumerer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
