If Arlo Mostofizadeh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FC Godelheim getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Wilfried Panten hit a great ball. After 8 minutes, Wilfried Panten mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Godelheim and the Nowosibirsk players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th minute, Wilfried Panten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Nowosibirsk's Ulrich Hauk tried to score from far away in the 8th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Hansjürgen Höll made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedikt Hinz in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Ringo Händl lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Roland Thumerer. Wilfried Panten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute Ringo Händl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Thumerer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Nowosibirsk's Gisbert Wesseling sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hansjürgen Höll narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gisbert Wesseling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hansjürgen Höll having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, FC Godelheim's goal looked a bit too open when Gisbert Wesseling came free, but Hansjürgen Höll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Nowosibirsk's Roland Thumerer got control of the ball when Randy Valenti tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roland Thumerer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfried Panten, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Randy Valenti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ringo Händl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hansjürgen Höll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedikt Hinz, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benedikt Hinz made a kick off. Ringo Händl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Malik Perrey kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 67thth minute of the game Randy Valenti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nowosibirsk's Roland Thumerer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tarkan Springer struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Roland Thumerer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Godelheim. The supporters of FC Godelheim booed when Nowosibirsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arlo Mostofizadeh didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Randy Valenti notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Nowosibirsk's Roland Thumerer. Roland Thumerer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benedikt Hinz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Gisbert Wesseling got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 88 minutes into the game, Tarkan Springer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Godelheim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nowosibirsk the free kick. Malik Perrey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Hansjürgen Höll made a huge save. 94 minutes into the match, FC Godelheim's goalkeeper Hansjürgen Höll had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gisbert Wesseling. For all the effort they put into the match, the Nowosibirsk players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Godelheim.
