In the 46th minute, Wendelin Hennicke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Heino Neumann lost his temper 48 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Otmar Krone made a kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Mike Bollwerk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
