Forusan Kaemmer started the match with the kick off. Frank Krughöfer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Forusan Kaemmer in the 8th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Uwe Schuldt got free with Frank Krughöfer in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Driftsethe FSV getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Uwe Schuldt hit a great ball. Michel Sänger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Valérien Husse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Driftsethe FSV booed when Specht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Sänger didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Uwe Schuldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michel Sänger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valérien Husse having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Sänger in the 29th minute of play forced Driftsethe FSV's goalkeeper Valérien Husse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Specht booed when Driftsethe FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leik Benninghoven didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Specht's goalkeeper Frank Krughöfer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Uwe Schuldt. The Driftsethe FSV players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Specht were winning 0-1.

After 56th play minutes Hippolyt Heintel shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Valérien Husse and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 63rd minute of the match Karel Wald sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valérien Husse skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uwe Schuldt in the 64th minute of play forced Specht's goalkeeper Frank Krughöfer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the game, one of Driftsethe FSV:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 72nd minute, Michel Sänger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Michel Sänger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Steffen Hollstein during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Michel Sänger came free with the goalkeeper in the 83rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Valérien Husse could save by the left post. Specht's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
