After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, David Ehlert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Höven's supporters rose to their feet, but David Ehlert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jakob Bleibtreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Höven were furious when Viktor Mager was red carded, 5 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 7th minute of the match Elard Asmus shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hannes van Slooten showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 8 played minutes Hersfelder Jungs got a freekick which was hit by Helgi Bauch. Hersfelder Jungs's Jakob Bleibtreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Schmiedel in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Heinrich Faber recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hannes van Slooten. Heinrich Faber showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Jakob Bleibtreu came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Höven's Vito Schmiedel. But to his dismay, Vito Schmiedel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When David Ehlert fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Höven's protests and gave David Ehlert a yellow card for diving instead. David Ehlert hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Höven's Conrad Schauerhammer got a free kick in the 19th minute. After a rather tough play, Höven's Walther Kapell got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Elard Asmus struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Hannes van Slooten didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hersfelder Jungs. With a little luck, Höven's Hannes van Slooten got control of the ball when Vlado Heeringa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Höven's Hannes van Slooten proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Höven from getting a goal against them. In the 30thth minute of the game Chris Sacher who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hersfelder Jungs's Jakob Bleibtreu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Sacher in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jakob Bleibtreu saved Hersfelder Jungs from getting behind. 39 minutes into the match, Bernd Lockfisch had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hannes van Slooten. Höven's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernd Lockfisch was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After 42 minutes, Markus Guth mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Höven and the Hersfelder Jungs players grew even worse after the yellow card. Markus Guth hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Elard Asmus, 43 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Hannes van Slooten didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 45th minute, which inside left pole to 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Hersfelder Jungs's Jakob Bleibtreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Schmiedel in the 51st minute of play. Jakob Bleibtreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Sacher, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. When Chris Sacher came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Höven fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chris Sacher couldn't finish the play. David Ehlert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Jakob Bleibtreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chris Sacher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jakob Bleibtreu having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, David Ehlert managed to get in a good position for a shot. If Chris Sacher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronny Klotz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jakob Bleibtreu having to interfere. Hannes van Slooten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heinrich Faber in the 66th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Vito Schmiedel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Höven's supporters rose to their feet, but Vito Schmiedel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jakob Bleibtreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jakob Bleibtreu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Ehlert went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. 75 minutes into the match, David Ehlert notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Hersfelder Jungs's Jakob Bleibtreu. Jakob Bleibtreu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Jakob Bleibtreu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 82nd minute of the match Höven got a corner. Hersfelder Jungs's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Walther Kapell ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 84th minute, Ronny Klotz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Chris Sacher took a quick shot and it went in 3-4 without a chance for Jakob Bleibtreu to make any attempt to save it.
