In the 11th minute, Marc-Dominic Neu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Will Zehle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vito Schmiedel in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balthasar Witteler in the 15th minute of play forced Höven's goalkeeper Hannes van Slooten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Leif Brossart ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hannes van Slooten was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Hannes van Slooten successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Vito Schmiedel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Will Zehle having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Walther Kapell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vito Schmiedel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Walther Kapell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gretel Bruhn was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Walther Kapell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Höven's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walther Kapell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 53 minutes into the game, Balthasar Witteler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SpVg Eicha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Höven the free kick. Balthasar Witteler hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Will Zehle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walther Kapell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walther Kapell in the 60th minute of play forced SpVg Eicha's goalkeeper Will Zehle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Will Zehle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walther Kapell in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 64th match minute, SpVg Eicha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominik Ginsberg to maneuver through the defense. If Vito Schmiedel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hannes van Slooten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gretel Bruhn in the 71st minute of play. Vito Schmiedel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Will Zehle came out and tried to block the shot, but Vito Schmiedel slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 76th minute. Hannes van Slooten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gretel Bruhn in the 81st minute of play. If Walther Kapell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Vito Schmiedel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walther Kapell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Will Zehle having to make a save. Vito Schmiedel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Will Zehle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
