Gretel Bruhn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haimo Wild having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, SpVg Eicha's goal looked a bit too open when Ingmar Tengstedt came free, but Will Zehle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geltow's Ariel Jaschke got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Will Zehle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ariel Jaschke in the 16th minute. Ariel Jaschke's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Will Zehle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. When Geltow's Ingmar Tengstedt in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Haimo Wild didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gregor Hupach went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gretel Bruhn made a kick off. In the 57th minute Ariel Jaschke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Will Zehle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingmar Tengstedt in the 60th minute of play forced SpVg Eicha's goalkeeper Will Zehle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Will Zehle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel Jaschke, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Haimo Wild made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leif Brossart in the 64th minute. Leif Brossart could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Haimo Wild made a huge save. After 72 minutes, Kalle Gaede mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SpVg Eicha and the Geltow players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th minute of the match Volkmar Durry shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Will Zehle showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 80th minute, Vahid Kück got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Ingmar Tengstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Geltow's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingmar Tengstedt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Will Zehle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gretel Bruhn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Haimo Wild tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gretel Bruhn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haimo Wild having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Geltow's zone, Leif Brossart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haimo Wild came out of the goal and Leif Brossart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Geltow supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SpVg Eicha's performance. The match ended with a win for SpVg Eicha.
