Valérien Husse came out of the goal and Leif Brossart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gretel Bruhn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Gretel Bruhn kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Valérien Husse. That made the score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. SpVg Eicha's Will Zehle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Forusan Kaemmer in the 13th minute of play. Forusan Kaemmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Uwe Schuldt came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Driftsethe FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uwe Schuldt couldn't finish the play. If Gretel Bruhn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leif Brossart recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Uwe Schuldt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Will Zehle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. A collision led to SpVg Eicha getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Dominik Ginsberg hit a great ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Driftsethe FSV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SpVg Eicha:s goal. Leik Benninghoven hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Uwe Schuldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Will Zehle made a huge save. 56 minutes into the game, Kalle Gaede was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SpVg Eicha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Driftsethe FSV the free kick. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SpVg Eicha! The referee gave Driftsethe FSV a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gero Sikora, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SpVg Eicha's Will Zehle. 1-2. 62 minutes into the match, SpVg Eicha's Leif Brossart sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valérien Husse narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Forusan Kaemmer in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Will Zehle saved SpVg Eicha from getting behind. In the 66th minute of the match Lorenz Saussle sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Will Zehle skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Forusan Kaemmer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Driftsethe FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Forusan Kaemmer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Will Zehle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valérien Husse didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leif Brossart went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Driftsethe FSV's goalkeeper Valérien Husse, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Uwe Schuldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Will Zehle successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Gregor Hupach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
