After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Janko Latocha managed to get in a good position for a shot. SV Roge's supporters rose to their feet, but Janko Latocha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Heribert Krupp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rappo Tetzlaff kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Werder Bremen's Hermann Göttling couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 31st minute. In the 48th minute, Rappo Tetzlaff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Keith Novak made a kick off. Janko Latocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heribert Krupp having to interfere. Jannes Zebrowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Heribert Krupp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Janko Latocha had several of the Werder Bremen's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 59 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Heribert Krupp as he didn't even see the shot coming. Rappo Tetzlaff charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rappo Tetzlaff the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, SV Roge's Rappo Tetzlaff got a free kick in the 61st minute. Heribert Krupp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jannes Zebrowski in the 64th minute of play. Heiko Wohlert's late challenge caught a SV Roge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Heiko Wohlert helped the player get up and apologised. Heiko Wohlert hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. SV Roge's Jannes Zebrowski got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lutz Dresdner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heribert Krupp having to interfere. When Jannes Zebrowski, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 98 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Heribert Krupp was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. SV Roge played a much better game than Werder Bremen and deserved their victory. The Werder Bremen players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
