Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Monty Börnsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederik Paul having to interfere. Klaus Aist kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Monty Börnsen came free with the goalkeeper in the 12th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Frederik Paul could save by the left post. After 14 minutes Steinhaus FSV's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Enno Bradel who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Limperich's Enno Bradel to fire away a dangerous shot which Frederik Paul despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Andi Heiske sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the game, Steinhaus FSV's Derek Reis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sepp Holthausen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Limperich's Andi Heiske in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Steinhaus FSV's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Andi Heiske got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 33rd minute, Steinhaus FSV's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Monty Börnsen fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Monty Börnsen struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Frederik Paul didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Limperich. The audience thought a goal was coming when Monty Börnsen got free with Frederik Paul in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andi Heiske recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Steinhaus FSV's Rüdiger Bruns got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Lennert Löbe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Frederik Paul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Derek Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Steinhaus FSV's Frederik Paul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andi Heiske in the 59th minute of play. If Monty Börnsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Rüdiger Bruns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the match, Limperich's Enno Bradel broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Frederik Paul didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Monty Börnsen went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When Monty Börnsen fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Limperich's protests and gave Monty Börnsen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 75th minute, Monty Börnsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th match minute, Steinhaus FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rüdiger Bruns to maneuver through the defense. Uffe Peelen's late challenge caught a Steinhaus FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Uffe Peelen helped the player get up and apologised. Uffe Peelen hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Monty Börnsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frederik Paul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andi Heiske, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Derek Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Sepp Holthausen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andi Heiske took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frederik Paul. Frederik Paul dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1.
