Spectators: 6725 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hagen Liebherr got the match started through his kick off. Hagen Liebherr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederik Paul having to interfere. Enriko Schroers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frederik Paul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmund Morawitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmund Morawitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Frederik Paul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hagen Liebherr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Steinhaus FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Hagen Liebherr came free, but Frederik Paul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frederik Paul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmund Morawitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Steinhaus FSV's goalkeeper Frederik Paul, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hagen Liebherr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Frederik Paul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmund Morawitz in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frederik Paul prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Edmund Morawitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 37 played minutes Steinhaus FSV got a freekick which was hit by Finn Jantzen. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Steinhaus FSV's goalkeeper Frederik Paul, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Frederik Paul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmund Morawitz in the 46th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Derek Reis made the kick off in the second half. Edmund Morawitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Frederik Paul made a huge save. Frederik Paul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hagen Liebherr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Rüdiger Bruns fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Steinhaus FSV's protests and gave Rüdiger Bruns a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 played minutes Steinhaus FSV got a freekick which was hit by Rüdiger Bruns. Hagen Liebherr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederik Paul having to interfere. In the 68th minute Hagen Liebherr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederik Paul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dietrich Wittlich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dietrich Wittlich's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tihomir Reinhardt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. After 73 played minutes FSC Brakel 99 got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Lamers. Dietrich Wittlich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tihomir Reinhardt having to interfere. Hagen Liebherr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederik Paul having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Steinhaus FSV's zone, Hagen Liebherr stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frederik Paul came out of the goal and Hagen Liebherr tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Steinhaus FSV's Frederik Paul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hagen Liebherr in the 89th minute of play. Hagen Liebherr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
