The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, 1.FC Mehlesdorf's goal looked a bit too open when Otto Haug came free, but Benny Wedig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benny Wedig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lazarus Kraft, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 1.FC Mehlesdorf's Benny Wedig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Haug in the 15th minute of play. Benny Wedig was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 39 minutes into the game, Laake's Reinhard Hambückers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benny Wedig made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. 43 minutes into the match, 1.FC Mehlesdorf's goalkeeper Benny Wedig had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Samir Janotta. Benny Wedig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otto Haug in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Benny Wedig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otto Haug, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 61 minutes of play, Laake's Samir Janotta made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benny Wedig was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 65th minute, Otto Haug ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benny Wedig was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in 1.FC Mehlesdorf's zone, Reinhold Höhne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benny Wedig came out of the goal and Reinhold Höhne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benny Wedig came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Laake's Otto Haug. But to his dismay, Otto Haug quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. 1.FC Mehlesdorf's Benny Wedig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samir Janotta in the 74th minute of play. Sergio Dümpe's late challenge caught a Laake's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sergio Dümpe helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of 1.FC Mehlesdorf booed when Laake was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hanno Dautzenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laake's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Rudolf Schott scored to the left of an out of position Tristan Eplinius, making the score, 6-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudolf Schott in the 93rd minute of play forced Laake's goalkeeper Tristan Eplinius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Feddo Meisel hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute of the match Reinhold Höhne sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benny Wedig skillfully saved the ball. When the referee ended the match the Laake players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
