The audience was convinced that Dietmar Schetelig's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eckard Tilk was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Auermühle's Eckard Tilk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolai Janz in the 5th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Auermühle's zone, Nicolai Janz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eckard Tilk came out of the goal and Nicolai Janz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18thth minute of the game Dietmar Schetelig who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Auermühle's Eckard Tilk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Nicolai Janz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eckard Tilk. Nicolai Janz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 28 minutes into the game, Remo Burgwart was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. o3S's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Auermühle the free kick. In the 28th match minute, o3S was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remo Burgwart to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the match, o3S's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Bährchen came free, but Niko Zampos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niko Zampos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruce Korsus in the 32nd minute of the match. Bruce Korsus scored 3-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niko Zampos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Michael Bährchen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 39th minute, Wolfram Benken left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Auermühle fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. 44 minutes into the game, Bruce Korsus cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Niko Zampos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The score stood at 3-3 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dietmar Schetelig to strike the kick off in the second half. Niko Zampos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michael Bährchen in the 51st minute. Auermühle's Wolfram Benken suffered a sore foot after 56 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 55 minutes into the game, one of o3S:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Auermühle a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bengt Utzig, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of o3S's Niko Zampos. 3-4. Dietmar Schetelig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, o3S's goalkeeper Niko Zampos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michael Bährchen. Henrik Brock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niko Zampos having to interfere. With a little luck, o3S's Niko Zampos got control of the ball when Henrik Brock tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Fabian Claußen managed to get in a good position for a shot. o3S's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabian Claußen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eckard Tilk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute Bruce Korsus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niko Zampos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fabian Claußen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henrik Brock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Auermühle walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
