After a defensive mix-up in Hannover 96's zone, Simon Kalb stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Connor Kohlert came out of the goal and Simon Kalb tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lajos Klöser might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Connor Kohlert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lajos Klöser ran back to his position shaking his head. Connor Kohlert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Kalb, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Maximilian Pletz took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jack Mühlenberg to make any attempt to save it. Jack Mühlenberg was a little too slow when Uno Vogel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 2-0. Arlo Altmüller lost his temper 27 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, Fc Liverpool's Arlo Altmüller got a free kick in the 28th minute. Artur Kahlhofen got a throw-in 31 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Uno Vogel. In the 35th minute Simon Kalb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Connor Kohlert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximilian Pletz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Jack Mühlenberg made a huge save. 45 minutes in the game Artur Kahlhofen did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Uno Vogel. Axel Elmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Connor Kohlert having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Uno Vogel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fc Liverpool's Jack Mühlenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uno Vogel in the 52nd minute of play. Niclas Gerdes took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jack Mühlenberg. Jack Mühlenberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Jack Mühlenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Burkhard Buschner in the 58th minute of play. Uno Vogel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes in the game Theobald Pitz did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Maximilian Pletz. After a rather tough play, Fc Liverpool's Günther Kehr got a free kick in the 66th minute. Simon Kalb could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Connor Kohlert made a huge save. Jack Mühlenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niclas Gerdes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simon Kalb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Hannover 96 booed when Fc Liverpool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Götz Mostert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Simon Kalb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jack Mühlenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximilian Pletz, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Jack Mühlenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niclas Gerdes in the 91st minute of play. A collision led to Fc Liverpool getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. There was no doubt that Hannover 96 were the better team. Hannover 96's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
