Spectators: 6713 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Uno Vogel started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Hannover 96's René Wald got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Pim Stark showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uno Vogel in the 5th minute of the match. Maximilian Pletz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Pim Stark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 16 played minutes Apricke FSV got a freekick which was hit by Gregor Pohl. 19 minutes into the match, Apricke FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Uno Vogel came free, but Pim Stark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pim Stark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uno Vogel, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Chris Wilzek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Connor Kohlert having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Burkhard Buschner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niclas Gerdes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uno Vogel in the 35th minute of play forced Apricke FSV's goalkeeper Pim Stark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Apricke FSV's Pim Stark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uno Vogel in the 42nd minute of play. Uno Vogel took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pim Stark. Pim Stark dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chris Wilzek made a kick off. Burkhard Buschner might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pim Stark. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Burkhard Buschner ran back to his position shaking his head. Burkhard Buschner took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pim Stark. Pim Stark dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of Hannover 96 booed when Apricke FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Max Ostmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uno Vogel might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pim Stark. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Uno Vogel ran back to his position shaking his head. If Uno Vogel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pim Stark took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uno Vogel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chris Wilzek charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chris Wilzek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Maximilian Pletz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Pim Stark skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Uno Vogel struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Pim Stark didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hannover 96. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximilian Pletz got free with Pim Stark in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Apricke FSV's goalkeeper Pim Stark, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pim Stark took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uno Vogel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hannover 96 played a much better game than Apricke FSV and deserved their victory. The Apricke FSV players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
