Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Carl Brunar kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Marinus Stenz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hans Abendroth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marinus Stenz in the 14th minute of the match. Marinus Stenz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Abendroth having to interfere. Anatol Altmüller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Hans Abendroth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Engelsby's Gabor Pechmann got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 28 played minutes, Engelsby's Gianni Posinski shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kay Rudinsky came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Engelsby reached it. If Gabor Pechmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carl Brunar in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kay Rudinsky prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gabor Pechmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Jesko Gabe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Engelsby's supporters rose to their feet, but Jesko Gabe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kay Rudinsky breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lars Caspary fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kay Rudinsky having to interfere. A collision led to Heskem getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Ratko Weidenbach hit a great ball. Hans Abendroth was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Anatol Altmüller showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 41 minute of play.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marinus Stenz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A hard shot by Gianni Posinski from long distance, 54 minutes into the match, got Kay Rudinsky's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 56th minute, Gabor Pechmann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Engelsby fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Carl Brunar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kay Rudinsky came out and tried to block the shot, but Carl Brunar slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 60th minute. A hard shot by Gianni Posinski from long distance, 64 minutes into the match, got Kay Rudinsky's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 66th match minute, Heskem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marinus Stenz to maneuver through the defense. Lars Caspary sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabor Pechmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 77 minutes, Carl Brunar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Engelsby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carl Brunar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st minute of the match Ralf Schade sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kay Rudinsky skillfully saved the ball. When Engelsby's Carl Brunar in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Heskem's goalie prevented a goal. Carl Brunar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Engelsby's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
