Ruhrpottkings's Wolf Seidl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Ruhrpottkings from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Ruhrpottkings's zone, Niklas Holzhäuser stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wolf Seidl came out of the goal and Niklas Holzhäuser tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Wolf Seidl managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when NienhauaC's Nils Heidkamp fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 23 minutes into the game, Alessandro Rauch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ruhrpottkings's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NienhauaC the free kick. Gunther van Stiphout successfully managed to get himself past Ruhrpottkings's defense and had a dream possibility and totally alone with Wolf Seidl everyone thought he would score, but the ball went just outside the top right corner. Niklas Holzhäuser kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Niklas Holzhäuser succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 31st playminute. Wayne List showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arne Stripf, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Wolf Seidl came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by NienhauaC's Niklas Holzhäuser. But to his dismay, Niklas Holzhäuser quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, NienhauaC's Niklas Holzhäuser got a free kick in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nils Heidkamp made a kick off. If Atze Ungerer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nils Heidkamp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wolf Seidl having to interfere. Maik Klews might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wolf Seidl. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maik Klews ran back to his position shaking his head. NienhauaC's Niklas Holzhäuser got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute Niklas Holzhäuser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wolf Seidl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 66 minutes, Xaver Bast managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NienhauaC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xaver Bast was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alessandro Rauch got his second yellow card in the match during the 71st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 72nd match minute, Ruhrpottkings was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Rauch to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to NienhauaC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Gunther van Stiphout hit a great ball. Nils Heidkamp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wolf Seidl having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nils Heidkamp in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wolf Seidl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jacob Felich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Wayne List tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nils Heidkamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The NienhauaC fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when NienhauaC's Atze Ungerer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. NienhauaC's Xaver Bast got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the NienhauaC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
