Lamscheid FSV's Nikolai Behm proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Lamscheid FSV from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Lamscheid FSV's zone, Carsten Basing stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nikolai Behm came out of the goal and Carsten Basing tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carsten Basing in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nikolai Behm prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 10 minutes into the match, Arsenal Köln's goal looked a bit too open when Pascal Pawlowitz came free, but Janko Brecher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Lamscheid FSV's goalkeeper Nikolai Behm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Neo Lötzsch. 13 minutes into the match, Arsenal Köln's Neo Lötzsch sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nikolai Behm narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nikolai Behm made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Neo Lötzsch sent off a good shot on target. Carsten Basing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Nikolai Behm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20thth minute of the game Carsten Basing who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lamscheid FSV's Nikolai Behm was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 22nd minute, Achim Trachsel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Carsten Basing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th match minute, Lamscheid FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marvin Deicke to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Carsten Basing managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arsenal Köln's supporters rose to their feet, but Carsten Basing was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nikolai Behm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Neo Lötzsch got free with Nikolai Behm in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Neo Lötzsch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikolai Behm having to interfere. When Neo Lötzsch came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Arsenal Köln fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Neo Lötzsch couldn't finish the play. If Carsten Basing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neo Lötzsch in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nikolai Behm, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 44 minutes into the match, Lamscheid FSV's Nino Gebert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Janko Brecher narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Arsenal Köln getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Reik Steffes hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Georg Nagler made a kick off. Nino Gebert's late challenge caught a Arsenal Köln's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nino Gebert helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Lamscheid FSV's Nino Gebert got a free kick in the 51st minute. 53 minutes into the match, Carsten Basing had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nikolai Behm. Lamscheid FSV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carsten Basing was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0.
